Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American producer and actor, is well-known for her role in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as in The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies from Brown University as well as an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actress, producer and director who has worked in both film and television. Aunjanue L. Ellis began her acting in the theatre. Then, she appeared in television series in independent as well as mainstream films. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also numerous nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. She began her career as an actress in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway, she has appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In her film career she is most famous for performances such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. For her work on television she has been praised for her role in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's police drama High Incident.
